Arthropodium 'Matapouri Bay' is an attractive New Zealand native perennial valued for its broad blue-green foliage and graceful, arching form. Growing to approximately 600mm high and 500mm wide, it is an excellent choice for borders, mass plantings, woodland gardens, and shaded areas beneath trees.

During summer, elegant white flowers emerge on upright stems above the foliage, adding seasonal interest and attracting pollinators. Its lush foliage provides year-round texture, making it a versatile option for both contemporary and naturalistic landscape designs.

This evergreen to semi-evergreen plant performs best in well-drained soils with dry to moist conditions. It thrives in full sun, part shade, or full shade and is well suited to sheltered and coastal locations. Protection from heavy frost is recommended, particularly when young.
